Day 1—Cascina Ristorante: Our fun-packed and flavorful “girls getaway” begins in classic Italian style at Manhattan’s Cascina Ristorante. It has the look, taste and atmosphere of a family farm kitchen in the old country. You’ll meet your fellow travelers in a private upper room we’ve reserved for our welcome dinner.
Our accommodations for this entire tour are at Midtown Manhattan’s elegant Belvedere Hotel, complete with an award-winning staff waiting to pamper you. Meals included: D.
Day 2—Manhattan Sightseeing: If you’re an early riser, join us for an exciting optional visit to a live broadcast of CBS TV’s morning news program, The Early Show. As the camera pans the crowd, you may find yourself on national television, waving to your family and friends back home!
If you choose to sleep in, join us later for a sightseeing tour of Upper and Lower Manhattan. Our guides are knowledgeable, native New Yorkers who are passionate about their city and who will proudly show us the diverse sights, including Chinatown, Little Italy, Ground Zero and Fifth Avenue.
No visit to New York City is complete without a visit to Central Park, and we’ll explore it this afternoon.
Then, it’s off to Martine’s Chocolates located in Bloomingdale’s. Though the chocolatier is located on the sixth floor, the aroma wafts throughout the store. Wait until you taste these fresh handmade confections along with a taste of shopping paradise at “Bloomies”.
Langan’s is a classic New York restaurant in the heart of the Theater District and the bustle of Times Square. Here, we’ll savor scrumptious New World cuisine served with the charm of Irish hospitality. The evening only gets better when we enjoy prime seating at a thrilling Broadway show. Meals included: B, L, D.
Day 3—Macy’s, SoHo and NoLita Shopping Tour: Be sure to wear comfy shoes and bring your handbag because today is “shop till you drop” day! We’ll start out at the renowned Macy’s Department Store in Herald Square (before regular business hours), where we’ll be treated to breakfast at the Cellar Restaurant and a private fashion show narrated by a well-known New York stylist. You’ll also have plenty of time to shop to your hearts’ content!
Later, enjoy lunch or take an awe-inspiring walk through the lush lawns and brilliant flower gardens of Bryant Park. New Yorkers love to meet, chat, and stroll through this beautiful outdoor oasis, and you will, too.
This afternoon more shopping awaits in the famed NoLita and SoHo Cast-Iron Historic Districts. These are the city’s hottest, most fashionable shopping areas, frequented by celebrities like Julia Roberts and Kirsten Dunst.
We’ll start with our guide at quaint NoLita and make our way gradually to bustling SoHo, combining high-end shopping with bargain hunting. Along the way, you’ll be treated to a fascinating overview of Cast-Iron architecture, visit a “hidden back room” on Canal Street for look-alike designer bags at affordable prices, and get your special “Shop Gotham” store discount.
Before this unforgettable day is through, we’ll take in a cooking class and mouth-watering tasting at acclaimed Meli Melo restaurant with admired chef Bernard Ros, who turned this restaurant into the quintessential “jewel” of Madison Avenue. Calling on 32 years of worldly experience, Ros creates eclectic cuisine with French, Italian, Vietnamese and Nouveau American accents. Mmmm!
Next, it’s off to the Top of the Rock observation deck at Rockefeller Center for a breathtaking pano-ramic view of the New York City skyline. Towering 70 stories above Rockefeller Plaza, you can spot famous landmarks like the Empire State Building, Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty. Meals included: B, D.

Then it’s time to depart for home with enough “Big Apple” memories to last a lifetime! Meals included: B.
