Itinerary

Day 1—Seattle: Our Alaskan adventure begins in the splendid city of Seattle. This evening, meet your fellow travelers at a friendly welcome reception. Welcome Reception included.

Day 2—Vancouver: Travel in comfort by deluxe motorcoach to Vancouver, British Columbia, where we’ll board Holland America’s luxury cruise ship, the ms Statendam, and sail for the Strait of Georgia. Meals included: B, L, D.

Day 3—Inside Passage: Today, glide through Alaska’s glorious Inside Passage. Our ship offers fun pastimes, and the evening entertainment includes Broadway music. Meals included: B, L, D.

Day 4—Tracy Arm/Juneau: See immense glaciers and frolicking sea lions as we pass through Tracy Arm, a narrow fjord.

Then, enjoy an optional shore excursion in Juneau. Explore the city, visit awesome Mendenhall Glacier or take a fun “flight-seeing” tour! Meals included: B, L, D.

Day 5—Skagway: Disembark today in Skagway of Gold Rush fame where we’ll take a short guided tour. Then you’ll have time to relax and wander the wooden sidewalks of this quaint frontier town. Later, we’ll visit Jewell Gardens, located on the Historic Clark Farm site just outside of Skagway. Savor an abundance of herbs and vegetables displayed among brilliantly colored flowers–varieties that thrive on the long daylight hours.

Sit back and enjoy the bounty of the garden during a scrumptious dinner. Welcome to the land of the midnight sun! Meals included: B, D.

Day 6—Whitehorse: Today we’ll climb the captivating White Pass Trail on an old-fashioned narrow-gauge train.

At the top, we’ll board our motorcoach and descend into Canada’s majestic Yukon Territory and tour the capital city of Whitehorse. Meals included: B, L.

Day 7—Beaver Creek: We’ll set off along the legendary Alaska Highway. Tonight we’ll stay in Beaver Creek and enjoy a delicious dinner and an evening of entertainment. Meals included: B, D.

Day 8—Fairbanks: Crossing into Alaska, we’ll visit Rika’s Roadhouse, a historic landmark. Afterwards, it’s on to Fairbanks, where the summer sun shines for an amazing 22 hours a day! Meals included: B.

Day 9—Fairbanks: This morning, we’ll cruise the beautiful Tanana and Chena rivers aboard The Discovery, an authentic sternwheeler.

Later, tour the Large Animal Research Center and discover the fascinating story behind the Musk Ox and prehistoric animals that are preserved here. This evening you’ll have time to relax or enjoy an optional tour. Meals included: B, L.

Day 10—Denali: All aboard the glass-domed McKinley Explorer for an enchanting railway journey to grand Denali National Park. The afternoon is yours to relax or choose an optional nature walk, rafting trip or “flight-seeing” tour. Meals included: B.

Day 11—Denali: You’ll be snapping plenty of photos during a spectacular 7-hour guided tour into Denali National Park, home of majestic Mt. McKinley, lush forests and crystal-clear waters. The evening is yours to spend at your leisure. Meals included: B, Snack.

Day 12—Kenai Peninsula: This morning, we’re off to the Kenai Peninsula. On the way we’ll pass Turnagain Arm as well as the majestic Chugach Mountains. Meals included: B.

Day 13—Kenai Fjords/ Seward: Thrill to a cruise of Resurrection Bay, a habitat for whales and sea otters. Afterwards, head back to Anchorage where you’ll have time to dine at one of the many wonderful restaurants in town or explore the shops for last-minute souvenirs. Meals included: B, L.

Day 14—Seattle: Today fly back to Seattle—carrying enough “gold country” memories to last a lifetime!
