Travel Arrangements

Arrival and Departure Information: You can either fly or drive to your tour’s departure city. Many starting hotels offer complimentary round-trip shuttle service from the airport to our hotel. In addition, many US tours will offer complimentary parking at the starting hotel. Most tours conclude with a stop at our starting hotel and a stop at the airport for those flying home.

Transportation to/from our tours: Airline and other transportation tickets to our depart/return city should not be purchased until you receive our “Get Set Mailing.” This information packet will include the required arrival times into our starting city on the day your tour begins and suitable departure times on the final day of our tour. This will enable you to make proper travel arrangements. World Wide Country Tours will not be responsible for change fees, including any non-changeable airline or other transportation tickets that are purchased at any time.

Pre/Post-Tour Hotel Accommodations: Extend your vacation in the tour’s depart/return city, or arrive early to avoid any unforeseen travel delays. This cost will be added to your invoice.

Documentation Requirements:

Entry Requirements by Air:
A valid U.S. Passport is required for travel to/from the U.S.

Entry Requirements by Land or Sea:
U.S. citizens need to present a valid U.S. Passport, a U.S. Passport Card or a WHTI-Compliant Travel Document to enter/re-enter the U.S.

Travelers on the Scandinavia & Russia Adventure who participate in optional shore excursions purchased through Holland America Line do not need a visa to enter Russia. If you do, however, plan to sightsee in Russia independently, or if you would like to go ashore before or after participating in a shore excursion, you must obtain a Russian visa prior to leaving your home country. Visas are not issued on the ship and are at your own expense. Your passport needs to be valid for a minimum of 6 months after the expiration of your visa and have at least one blank visa page in your passport.

Passport applications are available at your local post office or online at http://travel.state.gov. If your passport is other than U.S. issued, please advise us in writing as other documentation may be required.

Failure to present required documentation means your entry will be denied and will result in your inability to join and/or continue on tour. World Wide Country Tours will not be responsible for the accuracy of your citizenship documents or any additional costs incurred due to incomplete documentation. All passengers should check with the appropriate consulate for entry requirements.
